Established in 1987, Vylani’s Polynesian Dancers is Temecula’s premier choice for Hawaiian dance classes, including Tahitian dance, Hula dance and Maori dance classes. Located in the heart of Old Town Temecula at the Community Theater, our safe and convenient location is the perfect learning environment for both beginning children and advanced adults. Classes are fun and exciting and an excellent workout for any age.

Class Registration

Vylani’s Polynesian dance classes are available through the City of Temecula community recreation center. Registering for a class is easy. To get started, just click on the link below and follow the online steps. Once you have created your City of Temecula Community Recreation account, you will be able to register for one of our Hawaiian dance classes by clicking the desired class link in the right column.

Our 8 week classes are offered in Summer and Fall sessions, with a standard course price of $40.00 for the entire 8 week session.



Beginning Keikis

Our Beginning Keikis class is the ideal class for any child interested in Polynesian and Tahitian dance. This introductory course teaches children all the basics including the Polynesian hula and Tahitian style dance. Students will not only learn dance moves, they will learn how to perform together as a group while developing confidence.



Intermediate Keikis

Our Intermediate Keikis class is design for both students who have completed the Beginning Keikis course and older children who might be new to Polynesian dance. This course is designed to challenge students in Polynesian and Tahitian dance, and introduce them to Maori poi-ball dance. In addition, students will develop confidence and learn how to perform together as a group.



Advanced Keikis

Our Advanced Keikis class is a challenging class design for students who have completed our Intermediate Keikis course and have demonstrated advanced skills in Polynesian, Tahitian and Maori dance. Students will learn how to perform using traditional Polynesian instruments and develop their skills with Maori poi-balls. In addition, students will learn advanced steps in Polynesian, Tahitian and Maori dance.



Beginning Teens and Adults

Our Beginning Teens and Adults class is an introductory course teaching the basic steps in Polynesian, Tahitian and Maori dance. Students will learn exciting dance moves while getting a fun-filled work out. In addition, students will learn stage performance skills and how to perform in a group.



Beginning Adults

Our Beginning Adults class is an introductory course teaching the basic steps in Polynesian, Tahitian and Maori dance. Students will learn exciting dance moves while getting a fun-filled work out. In addition, students will learn stage performance skills and how to perform in a group. Classes limited to adults ages 18 and over.



Intermediate Teens and Adults

Advanced Teens and Adults

Our Advanced Teens and Adults class is a challenge program that will develop performance skills in Polynesian, Tahitian and Maori dance. Students will perfect their dance form and learn complex dance routines to prepare them for professional level performances. Students who excel in this class will be given many opportunities to perform at local events and community functions.
