Our company namesake, Vylani, was born in Hilo Hawaii in 1956. She came to the mainland as a young child. She joined Nonosina’s Polynesian Dance Studio at the age of 14 at which time she developed her skills under the excellent instructions of Stella Reid. Vylani traveled throughout the U.S. performing in the Hawaii on Ice tour, Polynesian shows at Disney world, Las Vegas, L.A., And with other numerous groups and showcases. She Introduced Vylani’s Polynesian Dancers to Temecula in 1987. With the support of all community events and fund raisers she help build the Temecula Community Recreation Center. She always supported all charities and community events with performances, volunteer work, and contributions. Vylani had three children and is survived by her husband Jim. She developed and trained him to M.C. the shows. Vylani’s became a family event and business which all learned to love and enjoy. Vylani brought the aloha spirit to all, and although breast cancer took her to eternal life on December 23, 1998, the spirit of dance will live with Vylani’s as a remembrance to her.

With over 22 years of experience in entertainment and event hosting, Jungle Jim ensures that every show is fun-filled and entertaining. From small backyard luaus to large events and ceremonies, Jungle Jim’s charismatic personality makes every event memorable.
With over 15 years experience in Polynesian, Tahitian, and Maori dance, Aileen Manalili-de Villa provides outstanding instruction and guidance to everyone in our Vylani’s classes. From beginning children to experienced adults, Aileen’s patient instruction and teaching style creates a fun, effective learning environment that has many of her students returning session after session, year after year.
